This course is designed for delegates who are new to investigations, either in the public or private sector and want to learn the processes and language used when managing an investigation to court and/or other formal proceedings. Delegates will understand the core responsibilities of managing an investigation from start to finish. The course has a built-in case study relevant to the field of the delegates. They will understand the collection and gathering of material, intelligence and evidence from a range of sources and how to record and retain it in a format that is evidentially admissible.
Delegates will learn key theories behind ethical interviewing, such as, communication skills, questioning methods and the PEACE model, equipping them with skills and confidence to conduct interviews as part of their investigation. Finally, they will understand the importance of the retention and disclosure of material, including exhibits, are seized, examined and retained in accordance with applicable legislation and policy.
This full-day, virtual instructor-led course is delivered online for £750. With a maximum of 10 participants per session, it becomes more cost-effective when more than one person attends.
